The Vialista Foundation is a motivated group of medical students, entrepreneurs, public health experts, and social change makers.
Our team brings experience from previous projects and start-ups focused on women’s empowerment and economic development.
Our mission is to empower residents of low-income communities to obtain higher-paying jobs by providing opportunities to learn digital skills and English language skills.
Our Team
Experience running a social non-profit from founding and running a
successful global health intervention as an undergraduate. Entrepreneurial and teaching experience founding and running a Medical College Admissions Test preparatory program, as well as tutoring students as an undergraduate. Overseeing overall direction and progress of projects. Direct communication and relationships with Indian partner NGOs.
Masters of Public Health degree holder. Past public health project experience in countries such as Haiti and Ghana. Expertise in survey design and progress evaluation from past public health work. Direct communication with Yale-based public health organizations/funding sources. Supervising survey design for needs assessment evaluations and progress monitoring reports for quality assurance.
Extensive organizational leadership experience from serving as president of the student environmental sustainability department at Penn State University for several years. This role involved creating and overseeing many educational campaigns which will be applied to future similar interventions. Research experience in virology, renewable energy, community engagement, and pharmaceuticals will be applied to progress monitoring and data collection.
Experience running a social non-profit derived from founding and running a successful global health non-profit as an undergraduate - particularly within the marketing sector. Extensive teaching experience from undergraduate years will translate to English-learning application curriculum development. Supervising marketing for the Vialista foundation and organizing various fundraising and crowdfunding campaigns.
Supply-chain management professional with experience in inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and demand planning. Additional experience in financial management from operating a food-service establishment at Penn State. Experience in organizational management from creating a student-run consulting organization and serving on Penn State’s student government. The primary role will be supervising operations and finances for Vialista Foundation projects.
